Theology and Practice of Faithful Witness (Evangelism)

Course Overview

As a Spirit-empowered expression of the Kingdom, evangelism is reintroduced in this course as a faithful witness. We’ll explore the five components of being an effective witness based on Jesus’s conversation with a Samaritan woman in John 4: conversion, communion, conviction, compassion, and community. You will gain useful ministry skills such as observation, listening, and discernment and will learn how to move beyond quick conversions towards long-term discipleship. This course concludes by examining sincere evangelism that naturally results in worship, since transformed lives bear witness to the presence of Christ and His Salvation.
