Old Testament Survey 5

Course Overview

The fifth and final class of our five-part Old Testament series. Over the course of four weeks, we will conclude our high-level understanding of the entire Old Testament by covering the Major Prophets and the Twelve Minor Prophets (Ezekiel through Malachi). This course focuses heavily on themes of God’s sovereignty, judgment against wickedness and idolatry, the promise of restoration, and the detailed prophetic thread pointing toward the Messiah and His Everlasting Kingdom.

Before coming to class each week, you will be expected to read books/chapters of the bible as well as chapters in Encountering the Old Testament. When you arrive each week, you will turn in a quiz covering the week’s material, a combination of multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, true-or-false, and matching questions. All readings will be supplemented with a lecture and PowerPoint presentation.
