Old Testament Survey 1

Course Overview

This is the first part of our comprehensive five-part Old Testament Survey series, which will guide you through the entire Old Testament, helping you understand its history, content, background, and the Messianic thread that runs throughout. We will cover Genesis through Numbers, covering creation, the patriarchs, the exodus from Egypt, and the period in the desert.

Before class, each week you will read the books/chapters of the Bible as well as chapters in the accompanying text, Encountering the Old Testament, and you will turn in a quiz covering the prior week’s material. Your teacher will supplement your readings with a PowerPoint presentation and lecture.
